The core rule
Do not list, request, promote or facilitate anything that is illegal, unsafe, misleading, stolen, counterfeit, exploitative, restricted beyond HokoMe’s controls, or likely to be used to scam someone.
Describe the actual item or service, use genuine photos where practical, state material condition and price, and disclose a relevant defect, risk, restriction or cost.
Always prohibited
The following are not allowed on HokoMe:
- Stolen, fraudulently obtained, counterfeit, pirated or infringing goods, or goods you do not have the right to sell.
- Illegal drugs, unlawful medicines, weapons, ammunition, explosives, dangerous instructions, or items intended to cause serious harm.
- Scams, phishing, advance-fee offers, fake jobs or rentals, account or credential requests, money-mule activity, and deceptive payment demands.
- Personal information, identity documents, financial information, passwords, databases, or images and recordings you do not have the right to share.
- Threats, harassment, hate, doxxing, extortion, exploitative material, or content promoting serious wrongdoing.
Restricted categories
Some categories require specific legal, safety or platform controls. Do not post alcohol, vaping or tobacco products, medicines, food, animals, high-value goods, tickets, finance, regulated professional services, hazardous materials, adult material, rentals, property, or items involving minors unless HokoMe has expressly enabled the category and its required controls.
Be accurate and fair
Do not misdescribe condition, ownership, availability, price, location, specifications, mileage, history, authenticity or legal status. Do not use hidden compulsory charges, false scarcity, fake accounts or reviews, misleading comparisons, or inaccurate free claims.
If you are selling in trade, identify yourself where required and meet your own consumer, product-safety and legal obligations.
Reports and enforcement
HokoMe may prioritise urgent safety, fraud, stolen-goods and rights-holder concerns. We may limit, remove or preserve content, ask for more information, or restrict an account when reasonably necessary. A report does not guarantee a particular outcome.
