Using HokoMe
These Terms apply when you browse, create an account, post a listing, contact another member, or otherwise use HokoMe. By using HokoMe, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, Marketplace Rules, Safety & Scam guidance, Copyright & Takedown process, and Property Terms where they apply.
Use HokoMe lawfully, provide information that is accurate and current, protect your account, and only post content you have the right to use. You are responsible for activity on your account and for people you authorise to use it.
Listings and transactions
You are responsible for your listing details, including its price, condition, availability, location, photos, descriptions and any material restrictions. Do not make misleading statements, hide relevant defects, impersonate someone, misuse HokoMe, or interfere with another member’s use of the service.
Members are responsible for their own decisions, communications, inspections, arrangements and agreements with other members. Check the details that matter to you before proceeding with a listing or enquiry.
Fees and current promotions
General Marketplace listings and relistings are permanently free to publish. No listing payment or checkout is required for General Marketplace listings.
Property listings and relistings are free during the current promotion until 11:59pm NZST on 27 November 2026. Any future Property fee or condition will be shown before you choose to publish. Pricing for other HokoMe sections is shown in the relevant listing flow or on the Pricing page.
Content, moderation and rights
You keep ownership of content you own. By posting it, you give HokoMe permission to host, display, reproduce, format and distribute it as needed to run and promote the relevant listing and the Platform.
HokoMe may review, limit, remove or preserve content, listings or accounts where reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, address safety or fraud concerns, protect people, or comply with law. We do not promise to review every listing or message.
New Zealand law and changes
These Terms are governed by New Zealand law. Nothing in these Terms removes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
We may update these Terms when the service, law or risks change. The current version date will appear on this page. If you do not agree with an update, stop using the affected service.
